- Hilly Eye, Alexander Trust, Big Ups , Jaja @ Cake Shop - Hilly Eye is a female duo for fans of PJ Harvey ; Alexander Trust is a Baltimore based electronic music producer inspired by the early Warp label artists ; Big Ups is NYC punk rock in the form of SD's Wavves, Jaja is a mystery to me.
- Zammuto, Lymbyc System @ Glasslands - Zammuto is the new project from Nick Zammuto of the Books ; Lymbyc System is an instrumental post rock band in the vein of the Album Leaf.
- Mrs. Magician, The Can't Tells @ Mercury Lounge (Early Show) - Mrs. Magician is fuzz rock surf guitar from SD and i really like it ; Can't tell what it is about the can't tells but they sound really interesting in a good way. 
- Lower Dens @ Secret Location - if you are privy to this show, this may be the only chance to see lower dens this week as other shows are sold out. 
- The Shins, Chairlift @ Terminal 5 - going to this one ; two of my favorite releases of the year come from the two bands ; tix still available.
