- Willie Nile, The Smithereens @ Kenny's Castaways (FREE) - Last show ever at the famed greenwhich venue


Tuesday / October 2nd
- Django Django, Lemonade @ Bowery Ballroom - one of my favorite shows of the year was seeing these brits at glasslands a few months ago. Highly recommended. Play again later in the week at knitting factory
- M83, Sun Airway @ Hammerstein Ballroom - On the same day, Dead Oceans will release the sophomore album from Philly electronic psych-pop duo Sun Airway, Soft Fall. Loved their 2010 release.
- Tennis, Wild Belle, The Shilohs @ Maxwell's
- LP , Joey Dosik @ Mercury Lounge (SOLD OUT)  - LP is a NY native who has been making big waves in her new home of LA. New album will be out through Warner ; you've most defly heard her single "into the wild" in the citi commercials- X-Ray Eyeballs, SISU, The Numerators @ Death By Audio - LA band SISU is making their first trip to NY, featuring Dum Dum Girls drummer Sandra Vu.  I dig their Demon Tapes Vol. 2 EP.

Howth, who i finally got to see for the first time last weekend at Delinquency and they sounded great.
- Wierd /Dais Presents Cold Showers (Record Release) @ Home Sweet Home (Wierd Records Weekly Party)- Shadowy, L.A. based art rock/synth ensemble Cold Showers take over Wierd to celebrate the record release of their debut LP "Love and Regret" on Dais Records.
- Moss (The Netherlands), ohnomoon, Pony Boy, Wet @ Pianos - Pony Boy is LA's sulty singer songwriter Marchelle Bradanini , she has three shows this week including an intimate performance at Joe's pub on saturday for the New Yorker festival  ; really digging Wet ; sounds like a mix of R&B and country and gospel ; very interesting. "Whose Your Dad" is pretty damn catchy. Moss is a nice act from the Netherlands. Ohnomoon has some really nice material as well, fans of warpaint will dig them.
- Wild Leaves, Nathan Xander @ Cameo Gallery - hazy folk from BK's Wild Leaves ; really like Nathan Xander's voice as well. 

Thursday / October 4th

- Allah-Las @ Union Pool - This LA retro act met while working together at the best record store in the world, Amoeba Records. Their debut release on Innovative Leisure is one of my favorite albums of the year ; they play again with their labelmate Nick Waterhouse at Bowery Ballroom the following night. 
- Mister Lies, Evenings and Beat Culture @ Cameo Gallery - NYC Debut from Chicago's hyped downbeat electronic producer Mister Lies ; interview with Pitchfork
