I was thrilled to see that the talented DJ and musician, Bonobo's (A.K.A. Simon Green) current tour added a stop in LA as his last full-length release, Days to Come, was one of my favorite albums from 2006 and i don't think i've ever noticed his name on the tour circuit. Thanks to the Do-Lab event creation group, he filled capacity at the King King in Hollywood with his infectious electronic production brilliance and eastern beats as the whole burning men and women diaspora were in bliss. I was also pleasantly surprised by opener Of Porcelain (downtempo side production project from Josh of the Glitch Mob). Check in with my buddy Jacopo at www.LA2day.com for pix from the show.
Bonobo takes residence in Brighton, England, but for the rest of July he will be continuing his north american tour through the Pacific coast and midwest. Check them dates below.
