- Les Deferlantes French Festival French Festival feat. Izia, Dionysos, Rinocerose, Coblism @ Le Poisson Rouge (FREE) - of the same weave as the new wave of electronic acts of the late 90's (Air,Daft Punk), fellow Frenchies Rinocerose make an extended stay in NYC ; their show at glasslands the following night has been cancelled but they willl be DJ'ing Le Bain on Sunday.
- Emeli Sande, Selah Sue @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT) - Sande's breakthrough debut "our version of events" will make it's US official release on Tuesday ; Selah Suh is a belgian singer-songwriter. She's already been championed by Nneka, Cee Lo Green, Michelle Ndegeocello and other. Tix still available for their show the following evening at Music Hall of W'berg.
- The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down: A Celebration of the Life and Music of Levon Helm feat. Marco Benevento, Dave Dreiwitz, Scott Metzger, Joe Russo, Craig Finn & Tad Kubler (of The Hold Steady), Nicole Atkins, Phosphorescent, Family Band, Diamond Doves, Kelli Scarr, Yellowbirds, Tom Hamilton @ Brooklyn Bowl - Fitting tribute to the late singer and bandleader ; limited tix available at the door. Diamond Doves play again supporting Man Man for free the next night.
- The Couch Sessions and Popgun Present Quadron, Teletextile @ Cameo Gallery (SOLD OUT) - Been a big fan of Quadron since hearing their self titled release but Teletextile is a promising pleasant surprise ; I will defly be at their second gig at on 6/14 for Northside festival.
- Man Man, Raleigh Moncrief @ Maxwell's - Raleigh Moncrief has become an artist to watch.
- Kopecky Family Band, MyNameIsJohnMichael, New Beard @ Mercury Lounge (Early Show) - The Nashville based Kopecky family vacation stops in NY this week. Really like their sound.
- Micachu and the Shapes, Zambri @ Glasslands
- Omar Souleyman, Dengue Fever @ Webster Hall - World music night at Webster features Syria's Souleyman, who performs traditional middle eastern songs and Cambodian pop group Dengue Fever.

- Man Man, Diamond Doves @ Brooklyn Bowl (FREE with RSVP) - Diamond Doves is a trio longtime friends and musical collaborators Nick Kinsey, Brigham Brough and Wyndham Garnett formerly in Elvis Perkins in Dearland.

- ESG, Ava Luna, DJ Spinna @ Le Poisson Rouge (late show) - After 33 years, this influential Bronx bred band that melds hip-hop/house/punk/no wave group has decided this will be their last tour.
- Eastern Midwestern (Album Release), Nik Westman and the Central Plains, Wyndham Baird @ Cameo Gallery - Eastern Midwestern sound really nice ; they officially release their EP on June 5th but you can buy/stream it now on their bandcamp ; for fans of Young the Giant, The Walkmen, Cold War Kids.
- Sinkane, Superhuman Happiness, Beta Frontiers @ Glasslands - Sinkane is Brooklyn based artist via Sudan.
- Graffiti6, Yuna @ Highline Ballroom - Graffiti6 are very much like Electric Guest ; really well produced.
