Tuesday / May 29th
- Foster The People, The Kooks @ Central Park Summerstage (Rumsey Playfield)
- No Glow, Night Shining, Gracie, Beca @ Glasslands - Don't know too much about No glow except that it's a new project by Sean of Your Youth which doesn't say much because i don't know Your Youth either. Regardless, I defly want to check this guy out ASAP.  Sounds superb. Night Shining is appealing as well and Gracie is on Small Plates Records which already have started making a name by signing really promising indie acts.
- Dustin Wong, Sam Hilmer, Weasel Walter, Mike Wexler, Driphouse @ Zebulon (FREE) - Dustin Wong plays very intricately layered riffs on pedals ; it would seem interesting to see him perform it live or simply listen to it while folding your laundry like me. Kind of like Kishi Bashi but without the vocals. People purchasing tix to this will prolly want to go to the Tune-yards show on Friday and Dan Deacon's next show.
- Haybaby, Shy Hunters, Noble Laureate, Little Anchor  @ Cameo Gallery
- Cory Chisel, Bhi Bhiman (WFUV Live Broadcast) @ City Winery - Bhi Bhiman is a singer song-writer from St. Louis ; his voice sounds like a male version of Nina Simone.

 Wednesday / May 30th
- Great Lake Swimmers, Cold Specks @ Bowery Ballroom - The Great Lake Swimmers new album has been getting poor reviews but it still sounds good to me. Canadian singer-songwriter Al Spx who goes by the name Cold Specks (newly signed to Mute/EMI) is grounded in blues, hymns and Appalachian ballads.
- Foster The People, The Kooks @ Central Park Summerstage (Rumsey Playfield)
- Parlovr, Mainland, We Run, The Drowners @ Glasslands - Mainland sound really nice to me ; the picture video for Summer Sick is kind of a beautiful bummer.
- Galactic @ Brooklyn Bowl - The New Orleans funk/jazz jam band plays their first of four nights at the Bowl.
- I Break Horses, Field Mouse @ Mercury Lounge (SOLD OUT) - not that hard to believe both bands have an animal in their name ; I Break Horses opened for M83 a few weeks ago ; Field Mouse is a four-piece dream pop act from BK ; first release on the above mentioned Small Plates label.
- The Crystal Ark, Avan Lava, Kim Ann Foxman @ Music Hall of Williamsburg - Avan Lava play fun electro pop of the same fabric as Penguin Prison.
- These Animals, Coastgaard, The Can't Tells, Baby Teardrops, Fairweather Friends @ Pianos

Thursday / May 31st
- Apparat @ Grammercy Theater- Been a fan of German electronic producer Sascha Ring (aka Apparat) since his collab with Ellen Alien ; his 2011 release was a brave transition into a developed artist ; he will unveil those beautiful tracks with a full band. Should be a rare treat.
- Radiohead, Caribou @ Prudential Center
- Galactic @ Brooklyn Bowl
- Las Ardillas (members of Davila 666) @ Cake Shop
- My Best Fiend, Zula @ Mercury Lounge - My Best Fiend is a new signing to Warp Records.
- The Sheepdogs, Young Rival @ Mercury Lounge (SOLD OUT) - Canada's double billing of Groovey Bluesy Boogie rock (Sheepdogs) and indie rock (Young Rival)
- The Soft Moon, Cosmetics, Black Marble @ Music Hall of Williamsburg - Dark rock billing ; Black Marble are a new signing to the Sub-Pop imprint Hardly Art and synth-wave which blends electronic music and punk. Their entire EP sounds great.
- Thurston Moore, Bill Nace, Joe McPhee @ Roulette - Thurston Moore, singer/songwriter/guitarist for Sonic Youth, teams up with free-noise guitarist Bill Nace and avant-jazz saxophonist Joe McPhee.
- Kitsune America Compilation Release Party feat. Them Jeans, Giraffage, XXYYXX, Selebrities @ Santos Party House - The French tastemaker fashion label Kitsune has always been ahead of the game with early trendsetting indie electro acts on their compilation series. Listen to their latest here US version on spotify here.

Friday / June 1st
- Tune-Yards, Micachu and the Shapes, Delicate Steve @ Terminal 5 - three artists that play unconventionally pleasant music.
- KNTRLR, Human Highlight Reel, Lost Cove @ The Gutter - Always wanted to go to this bowling alley in Greenpoint ; this will be the last opportunity to catch BK's KNTRLR for a bit
- Freelance Whales, Spanish Prisoners, Lucius @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT)
- Radiohead, Caribou @ Prudential Center
- Xylos, MS MR, Ninifabi @ Glasslands - MS MR's glitch pop sounds very promising ; check out their single "hurricane" and they are heading to UK after this show.
- Jokers of the Scene with Tezeo, JDH (Fixed) @ Glasslands (Late Show)
- Galactic @ Brooklyn Bowl
- Monica Lionheart, Rana Santacruz, Sweet Electra @ Cameo Gallery - Monica Lionheart is a new signing to Nacional Records and former lead singer of the Brooklyn electro-pop band Zigmat.

Saturday / June 2nd
- Mister Saturday Night with Eamon Harkin, Justin Carter, Caribou @ 12 turn 13 - i may have to fight my way into seeing Caribou at this loft space tucked in the heart of clinton hill. Late night show starts from 10pm-5am
- Galactic @ Brooklyn Bowl
- Twin Tigers, HITS, Basement Batman @ Glasslands (EARLY SHOW)
- TEETH, French Horn Rebellion, Friendly Ghost (DJ Set) @ Glasslands (Late Show) - TEETH had me at Bio - a grungy filipino band born during Manila's alternative rock boom in the early 90's.
- Ms. Lauryn Hill, Black Milk @ Highline Ballroom - hopefully Ms. Hill will be singing her great songs versus her rhetoric
- Lemonade, Teengirl Fantasy, Elite Gymnastics @ Music Hall of Williamsburg - deephouse meets shoegaze in teengirl fantasy ; Elite Gymnastics is the minneapolis based production duo who have been on the circuits of many remixers.
- Gogol Bordello, Two Gallants @ The Wellmont Theater - Two Gallants just played with mariachi punk rock band The Bronx last week ; this week they play with punk gypsy cabaret band Gogol Bordello ; I hope they find it as interesting as I do.

Sunday / June 3rd
- Azealia Banks @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT) -17 year old female emcee headlining Bowery, somebody better check her ID - cheezy rap skills provided by Nassty nass.
- Holy Ghost! (DJ Set), Blondes @ Dekalb Market (3pm) - Good music to accompany one of my favorite outdoor markets in NYC. damn...did i rhyme again?...i'm on a roll.
