L.A. Jazz Profile - The Eartha Austria Trio

Jazz can be pretty tough to digest, especially in a place like LA where the scene is a bit overlooked..however, the Eartha Austria Trio are one of this city's finest, consisting of world renowned virtuosos in their own instrumental weapons of choice including the electric violin (Robert Anderson), electric cello (Jacob Szekely) and drums (Christopher Garcia), fusing rock and electronic music into the mix. On September 9th, they will be opening for one of modern jazz's biggest bands, The Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey at LA's top jazz hangout, Catalina (on sunset). Wednesday's show will be a special record release event for JFJO's brand new album, One Day in Brooklyn, coming out on their own label, Kinarra Records.
