Tuesday / April 3rd
- The Magnetic Fields, Devotchka (acoustic) @ Beacon Theater
- Colin Stetson, Lone Wolf and Cub, Sarah Neufeld @ Glasslands - Sarah Neufeld is violinist in arcade fire...Colin Stetson is also a saxophonist in Arcade Fire and Bon Iver...prolly the most in-demand horn player in indie music. His last album is very experimental in a good way.

- Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, The World Blanket @ Mercury Lounge (Early Show)
- Perfume Genius, Parenthetical Girls @ Mercury Lounge (Late Show) (SOLD OUT) - Perfume Genius plays very delicate piano indie pop ; big fan of his new album. Look out below for more shows this week

- Angel Olsen, Doe Paoro, Cat Martino @ Glasslands - For female vocal fans like me ; Still have yet to see Doe Paoro but Angel Olsen's tunes sound pretty promising.
- Wild Yaks, Fenster (Morr Music), Daytona (Harlem/Wild Yaks) @ Knitting Factory (Brooklyn) been meaning to check out Fenster and Daytona.
- Mike Wexler @ Manhattan Inn (FREE) - really nice psych-folk new album from Mike Wexler ; been interested in checking out the venue as well.
- Pomegranates, Ewert & the Two Dragons @ Pianos - although the name exudes geekdom, ewert + 2 dragons sound worth a visit ... They play again at knitt factory in bk the following evening.
- Walk The Moon, We Barbarians, Motive @ Santos Party House
- Tree of Life Infinite Roots (mems of Akron/Family, Oneida, Guardian Alien) @ Shea Stadium
- The Naked and Famous, Vacationer, Now, Now @ Terminal 5 (SOLD OUT)
- Honeyhoney , Sonya Kitchell @ Union Hall - went to this venue for the first time last week. Loved it,LA's honeyhoney give me another excuse to visit.

- Dr. John, Dan Auerbach (of The Black Keys) @ Brooklyn Academy of Music (Inside Outs: Locked Down) - Interesting return to original form for Dr. John with his new album (produced by Dan Auerback of Black keys, but infused with new indie blood. Part of an ongoing BAM residency.
- ESL Music and BYT Present Federico Aubele, The Funk Ark, Chico Mann, Ursula 1000 @ Le Poisson Rouge - nice sampling of good bands from the esl label

- Of Monsters and Men, Lay Low @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (SOLD OUT) - Of monsters...much hyped icelandic band recently signed to Universal
