- Santigold, Theophilus London @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT)
- Hilly Eye, Alexander Trust, Big Ups , Jaja @ Cake Shop - Hilly Eye is a female duo for fans of PJ Harvey ; Alexander Trust is a Baltimore based electronic music producer inspired by the early Warp label artists ; Big Ups is NYC punk rock in the form of SD's Wavves, Jaja is a mystery to me.
- Zammuto, Lymbyc System @ Glasslands - Zammuto is the new project from Nick Zammuto of the Books ; Lymbyc System is an instrumental post rock band in the vein of the Album Leaf.
- Mrs. Magician, The Can't Tells @ Mercury Lounge (Early Show) - Mrs. Magician is fuzz rock surf guitar from SD and i really like it ; Can't tell what it is about the can't tells but they sound really interesting in a good way. 
- Lower Dens @ Secret Location - if you are privy to this show, this may be the only chance to see lower dens this week as other shows are sold out. 
- The Shins, Chairlift @ Terminal 5 - going to this one ; two of my favorite releases of the year come from the two bands ; tix still available.

Tuesday / May 1st
- Lower Dens, Matteah Baim @ Mercury Lounge (Early Show - SOLD OUT) - Lower Dens is sure to unveil material from their highly anticipated Nootropics (pronounced no-eh-tro-pics) release coming out the same day ; Matteah Baim was formerly of Metallic Falcons. 
- Doe Paoro, Rewards, Larry Gus @ Cameo Gallery- Larry Gus is a madlib inspired producer who thrown in all sorts of found sounds ; listen to his mp3 in this stereogum post ; very interesting
- Suckers, Acrylics, Turn To Crime, Paper Twin @ Glasslands
- The Shins, Real Estate @ Terminal 5 (SOLD OUT) - Kind of surprising pairing but both bands are great.
- Tom Morello and the Guitarmy, Dan Deacon, Das Racist, Immortal Technique, Bobby Sanabria Band @ Union Square Park (Occupy Guitarmy)

Wednesday / May 2nd
- Spirit Animal, The Click Clack Boom @ Mercury Lounge (Late Show) - Spirit Animal invokes spirits of early RHCP + LCD Soundsystem; really like their new material.
- Electric Guest, New Look @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT) - much hyped Electric Guest are recipients of Danger Mouse's production expertise....they have some great songs on their debut Downtown release.
- Micah Blue Smaldone, Coke Weed, Steve Gunn @ Cake Shop - Really like what i heard from Coke Weed. Also of note is Micah Blue Smaldone.
- Soft Circle, Tonstartsbandht, Dan Friel, Noveller @ Death By Audio

- Ed Vallance, Pursesnatchers, The Stationary Set @ Pianos - Ed Vallance and Pursesnatchers sound good.
