Monday / April 9th

- Emily Wells, Dan The Automator, Live Footage @ Bowery Ballroom
- Dolfish, Jeremy Benson (Roadside Graves), S.L.F.M. @ Cake Shop - S.L.F.M. is lo fi ukelele in the spirit of early tune-yards.
- Japanther, Total Slacker, Night Manager, Osekre & The Lucky Bastards @ Cameo Gallery
- Sleepy Sun, White Hills, Weird Owl @ Glasslands - Spacey/Garagey Rock n roll ; Sleepy Sunand White Hills play again the following night at mercury lounge.
- Black Tambourine , Fan Modine, Rose Melberg @ Maxwell's - DC influential twee/noise pop band Black Tambourine is playing shows for the first time in over 20 years ; in town this week for the first of multiple chickfactor mag 20th anniversary parties at the Bell House. This is only party of theirs that's not sold out.
- Devin (Formerly Devin Therriault), Young Rival @ Mercury Lounge (Late Show) - Vintage styled rocknroller Devin's a new signing to Frenchkiss Records ... Canadian indie rockers Young Rival also round out the lineup nicely.
- The Horrors, Night Beats @ Music Hall of Williamsburg - Night Beats sounds like the bluesy version of the arctic monkeys.
- HeyRocco, French Camp, Lovely Liar, Basement Batman @ Pianos - A good lineup, all bands sound good but i'm particularly interested in French Camp and Basement Batman.

Tuesday / April 10th
- Alone Together Tour feat. Billy Martin (of Medeski Martin & Wood), Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestre), Gregory Rogrove (Devendra Banhart, Priestbird) @ Le Poisson Rouge - Should be a great show, really digging the deep melancholic and pensive piano of G. Rogrove's. For Fans of Yann Tiersen.
- The Jezabels, Imagine Dragons, Benjamin Francis Leftwich @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT) - Three great up and coming bands to see here ; Jezabels (australia) are newly signed to mom + pop and are great live ; Imagine Dragons are newly signed to Interscope and have released a commercial success in their Continued Silence EP ; and don't sleep on UK singer songwriter BF Leftwich. He plays again the following night at Knitt Factory in BK.
- Tennis @ Brooklyn Bowl - Tennis is giving you another chance in case you missed them a few weeks ago ; it bears repeating that their sophomore record is solid.
- Howler, 1,2,3, The Denzels @ Knitting Factory (Brooklyn) - Howler sounds like they'd kill it live, and the Denzels new batch of jamz played at their gig with cloud nothings a few weeks ago sounds as badass as Denzel Washington in Glory.
- Krautwerk 1-8 feat. Kim Gordon, Julia Cafritz (of Pussy Galore/Free Kitten), Pete Nolan (Magik Markers), Dan Friel (of Parts & Labor), Publicist, Barry London (Oneida), Brittain Ashford (of Prairie Empire), Xaddax, Kurt Braunohler, Dave Hill @ Littlefield - Big time Kraftwerk pep rally before their MoMa residency, obviously for fans of the werks of Kraft.
- A Silent Film, Empires @ Mercury Lounge (early show) - First headlining tour for UK act A Silent Film
- Sleepy Sun (Santa Cruz), White Hills (NY) @ Mercury Lounge (late show)
- Kraftwerk (Autobahn) @ MoMa (Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8) - Over eight consecutive nights, MoMA presents a chronological exploration of the sonic and visual experiments of Kraftwerk with a live presentation of their complete repertoire in the Museum's Marron Atrium. and yes, all 8 nights sold out immediately.

- The Ting Tings, MNDR @ Webster Hall - Just getting hip to Mark Ronson Collaborateurs MNDR...really dig it. see more oppportunities to check them out the following day.

Wednesday / April 11th
- Lost in the Trees, Poor Moon @ Le Poisson Rouge - Chapel Hill's Lost in the Trees are supporting a fine release. Poor Moon is formed from members of Fleet Foxes and Crystal Skulls.
- Alabama Shakes, Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires @ Bowery Ballroom (SOLD OUT)- Alabama Shakes are the best band i have and will see live this year...do yourself a favor and do the same.
- Local X feat. Javelin, Psychobuildings @ Brooklyn Bowl (FREE with RSVP) - Rhode Island's Javelin is a supreme beatmaker and a joy to watch live ; defly worth the price of admission or lack thereof and should be a fun one.
- Alice Smith @ City Winery - Although she's long overdue for a release, this will be a great opportunity to see the soul songstress at what i've heard is a lovely venue.
- Crocodiles, Eternal Summers, Young Boys @ Glasslands - Been meaning to catch Eternal Summers....both the band and the taco truck on Bedford Ave.
- Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Arborea @ Knitting Factory (Brooklyn) - BF Leftwich's 2nd date in as many nights in NY ; Arborea are a married duo who perform very soft psych-folk.
- The Ting Tings, MNDR @ Webster Hall - 2nd of two shows
- MNDR (DJ Set), Safety Scissors (DJ Set), Prince Terrence (DJ Set) @ Le Bain (Standard Hotel New York) - Not a big night club guy but Le Bain is Le Shit...this should be a great excuse to party on a school night.

- Sister Crayon, The Stepkids (DJ Set) @ Pianos - Sister Crayon is great live.
