Thesex Sessions: Young Hunting - Annabelle

Producer Engineer Phillip Jordan has started presenting high quality live performance video recordings at his studio ThesexLA via his website dtlalive.com. He's offering free recording opportunities to all while he perfects the studio's sound..which may not last long after hearing the fidelity of the video below. I just subscribed to the said DTLAlive channel on youtube so i'm aware of what he's working on. He's featured one of my favorite local bands, Young Hunting, who create very soft and beautifully building pieces of music. Young Hunting is on at 10pm at the Silverlake Lounge this Tuesday.

Hot As Sun - Live Performance Debut Tonight at Echo

LA's lovely lo-fi pop duo Hot As Sun are making their live show debut tonight at the echo along with other local standouts Foster the People and Le Sands. The band has been featured on a number of blogs, recorded their Hot As Sun EP in the prestigious Red Rockets Glare studio, and their debut single "Come Come" has already garnered the attention of Jason Bentley on Morning Becomes Eclectic. They are scheduled to play at Chris Douridas' School Night weekly in February. Here's the video to "Come Come". Not sure if this Kenan Peters (Dancing star of the video) is going to make an appearance tonight but you can expect some gogo dancers.

Incan Abraham

LA's Incan Abraham have just released a new EP titled Sunscreen, available for a free download on their bandcamp page. Sounds like a mesh between Local Natives and Animal Collective ; the appeal is worth investigating in person tomorrow night at the bootleg theater as they play their with another local favorite, Rumspringa.
