When we first launched blog, I'd feature a lot of really cool sunglasses. It's been a while, so I'm back with a really cool new pair by one of my favorite lines, Linda Farrow Vintage. This particular pair is another collaboration with Raf Simons, only this time, the hip folks at Oki-Ni are along for the ride with a unique colorway limited to 50 pieces. I'd don't really know what's going on here but I totally wear a lot of black and white so I'm down like a clown on the town to rock these if anyone wants to send me a pair ;)~

Oliver Peoples Marclay Sunglasses & Spring/Summer 2009 Collection

It's been a while since I've posted some nice sunglasses here, so what better to restart with than new frames by one of my favorites, Oliver Peoples. The oh so sharp and well designed eyewear brand is back with their new Spring and Summer 2009 collection. Of the many new styles (see below), the Marclay design has to be my favorite. They feature a metal wire frame encased in layers of translucent plastic. I'm digging the clear pair above, but the light brown/tortoise pair below is a close second. Vintage Porsche Design Sunglasses by Carrera

Checkout these smooth vintage fold up shades from Porsche Design by Carrera. Super's 24k Gold Lense Editions

A few weeks back we featured some awesome shades of Italian Sunglass brand Super. Now they're back with a fresh take on a classic frame- This time they've introduced some rad mirrored 24k gold lenses (the lenses come from famed lens maker Zeiss).

Retro Atari Stylin'- N.E.R.D.'s "Everyone Nose Remix" Music Video

Here's the remix video to N.E.R.D.'s "Everyone Nose." This mix features verses by Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and Pusha T (from the Clipse). I'm usually not the biggest fan of director Hype Williams, but this video is pretty fresh and I'm a sucker for the retro Atari Galaga look it's got going on. Keep an eye out for these future couture Martin Margiela sunglasses that we featured a few weeks ago-

Oliver Peoples Summer Sessions Sale '08

The fine folks over at the Oliver Peoples store on Sunset are having a little Sale/Cocktail Party every Thursday in August- DJ's including Raul Campos of KCRW will be spinning, and Peroni will be providing brews.

Sunglasses by Italian brand Super

Italian Brand Super, launched last year and since then has been producing some rad high quality sunglasses. The shades are handmade and for all you cameraphiles out there, they feature Zeiss lenses. The rainbow pair above won't be available until 2009 but until then you can get the rest of the collection, including the "RetroSki's" below, over at Steven Alan- Or, if you have a Barney's close by, you can walk in and pickup a pair. Man, the color combos and frame shapes on these things are badass!

Ray-Ban x Toofly's Project Colorize Wayfarer Sunglasses

Toofly of Queens, NY, is one of the sickest female graffiti artists around. Her work shows off a rad blend of street art, calligraphy and graphic design:

In doing their part to recognize her work, Ray-Ban has chosen Toofly to be part of their "Project Colorize" sunglass project. The Wayfarer shades in this limited edition line feature collaborations between the classic brand and cutting edge artists. In addition to the hot turquoise and pink shades above and below, Toofly will be featured on huge 60 foot billboards in NYC:


You can try your luck at getting a pair of these at Henri Bendel's. The sunglasses are worth it for the case alone! (Then again, I'm a sucker for nice packaging):

Now THESE are Stunna' Shades!- Margiela's “L’Incognito” Sunglasses

Next time you have to wear your sunglasses at night, make sure to pickup a pair of Maison Martin Margiela's first foray into eyewear- the "L'incognito's."

Margiela, the designer from Belgium, has never been one for the limelight, and while the name "L'incognito" reflects this, the actual glasses definitely don't. You'll stick out like a retro robot from some vintage Sci-Fi show when you rock these. Not that that's a bad thing...

Linda Farrow Vintage x Raf Simons Sunglasses

I was turned onto Linda Farrow Vintage a few months ago and featured a pair of their crazy vintage sunglasses in another post (about Neptune's and Bathing Ape protégés the Teriyaki Boys). I have to say I initially thought their stuff was on the crazier side, but these frames are pretty rad. The Linda Farrow Gallery of vintage sunglasses has blown up and gained tons of notoriety ever since 2000 eyeglass designs by her son Simon Jablon were discovered. This particular pair is a collaboration with contemporary men's fashion designer Raf Simons. I'd definitely rock these guys hardcore if anyone wants to get me pair.

Just like the Nom de Guerre x Oliver Peoples frames we featured yesterday, these will be available soon at Oki-ni.

Oliver Peoples x Nom de Guerre Sunglasses - Inspired by Roy Orbison

These sunglasses combine the equally clean aesthetics of clothing designers Nom de Guerre and famed eye wear makes Oliver Peoples. The frames are ridiculously simple and clean and that's what makes them phenomenal. Both brands tend to follow this formula and this newfound collaboration looks to continue it. These Roy Orbison insipired frames are super limited and will be available at Oki-ni. Now I just need to get a pair of these glasses to go with this sweater...

Teriyaki Boyz ft Pharrell and Busta - "Zock On" Music Video

A Bathing Ape founder Nigo's protégés, The Teriyaki Boyz, have just dropped the music video to their track "Zock On." The song has a sick Neptunes beat on it- in fact it's so sick that I'd have to say it's better than anything the Clipse got on their LP. The random visual props in the video definitely hint at Nigo's "Otaku" side- Otaku, being a Japanese term for those with obsessive interests (in Nigo's case, high end collectibles)

Oh and one last thing to sell ya on this- somewhere or another Pharrell and the gang managed to find Busta and had him drop the hook on this:

Hiroshi Fujiwara x Stussy SunGlasses

Looks like Japanese renaissance man Hiroshi Fujiwara and Stussy are up to a little sunglass madness in their secret laboratories. Not sure what the release dates of these are, or if these are even ever going to be released (mainly because I saw these on Honeyee and can't read Japanese). Either way, will definitely be keeping an eye out for these bad boys.

** UPDATE - According to High Snobiety (who always has the scoop... damn them! hahaha), looks like these WILL be coming out and are fittingly called "the Hiroshi Sunglasses." I'm pretty stoked...
