Designer Gas Masks - Be flossin' on the battlefield

Next time you're at the club and all the cool kids are passing around weaponized toxins, you can join them in style. These designer gas masks would definitely look hot next to such useful possessions as your life sized Swarovski Oscar statue. You can get yours here- personally I'd take the one on the left.

Classic 90s HipHop Video- Wu Tang's Triumph

Wu Tang rocked the hip hop world in the nineties and then went through some not-so-hot times in the last couple years- Luckily, their latest album "8 Diagrams" is awesome- I highly recommend it for both the old school fans and hip hop heads in general.

Here now for your viewing pleasure is one of the most epic videos of hip hop history- one of the few tracks where the ENTIRE Wu crew team unite to form Voltron. Thanks to Mister B from Riot Games for reminding us of this gem:

Rachael Leigh Cook - A Fair and Honest Appraisal by Gill Bumby

Each week our mysterious featured writer, Gill Bumby, provides You, our fair reader, with a "Fair and Honest" appraisal of a public figure. This week we present...

"DUDE!!! Where the HELL have you been? No one has heard a peep from you in YEARS now. Everyone has been calling/emailing/texting you since 2003 trying to get you to hang out, grab a drink, kick it, whatever....but no one ever gets a response every time they try. I know you settled down and got married and what not, but seriously, even married people hang out SOMETIMES. One thing about your low profile that we can all give you props on is not ending up on the cover of trashy tabloids with pictures of your privates hanging out when you exit fancy stretch limos like some of your contemporaries have done in recent years. Good work in that department. You look like you've gotten a little thicker since your 'She's All That' days, but you're wearing it well and the long wavy hair looks GREAT. It's worlds better than some of the cropped styles that you've tried in the past.

I know married life can be hectic, but people miss you and would love to hear how you're doin these days. Even just a text or myspace message will do. Cummon, don't be a stranger..."

Overall rating... 9.1

The Photography of "Razzi" from Belgium

Was visiting my friend Kat's blog (where she writes about everything from chimpanzee research to music) when I came across a post she did on this photographer called "Razzi" from Belgium. Couldn't get much info on the guy, so if any of you are familiar with him, please share. While he has full galleries dedicated to music, and portraits, I found his still life / scenic photos to be the coolest. Thought the photo above, entitled "Sit Down" was pretty hilarious. The next is titled "Bars"- love the natural light:

This one is fittingly entitled "Empty Head" - I'm sensing a witty Belgian dude here:

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's "Thou Shalt Always Kill" Music Video

DJ Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip have teamed up for this bangin' and unorthodox track that also happens to be the opening track on our April '08 MixTape. The duo posted the track on their myspace page, and since then the tune has been internet music gold. For a really good background article on Scroobius (who's based out of London), checkout this piece at NPR Music. For now, checkout the raw and rad video to "Thou Shalt Always Kill":

Groove Armada w Jason Bentley at LA City Hall

A great case was made On Saturday night on the steps of City Hall where Justice and New Order were served from the hands of Jason Bentley and Groove Armada. Over 3,000 heads rocked with their restless legs dancing for over five hours. Here are some pics and a video i took from the KCRW presentation:

You can listen to Jason Bentley's set on the KCRW Blog

One Shining Montage - NCAA Tournament 2008

In case you were like me and missed one of the most dramatic finishes to the NCAA tournament, here is the traditional "One Shining Moment" video which captures the madness of March and signifies the culmination of one of sports most competitive championships . March Mad props to the comeback kids at Kansas and the editors at CBS for finishing this clip just minutes after the game was decided.

WARNING-Chew on this cheesy montage slowly .....EXTREME correlation between music and images may cause choking...see victim poster below for prevention tips from Sparkey
