Murakami and His Art History @ LACMA - This special event at LACMA is a two-part collaboration between two amazing LA museums celebrating the works of Takashi Murakami. Join LACMA's Curator of Japanese art, Hollis Goodall, and MOCA's Murakami Exhibition project coordinator, Mika Yoshitake, as these two experts discuss the life and works of Murkami. This first event of the two part series will be held at LACMA and will feature a guided tour of LACMA's Pavilion for Japanese Art. Event is free with museum admission- going.com

Harry Nilsson Tribute @ Bordello - Nilsson's sweet and lighthearted brand of pop songwriting has seen a resurgence among the indie kids lately, and with this tribute show, he is now officially "rediscovered." Local bands Ferraby Lionhart, Frankel, Le Switch, Amnion, Dirt Bird, Willoughby, and Quazar - among others - will Schmilsson up the joint at Bordello on Tuesday with covers of "Lime & The Coconut," "Me & My Arrow" and many more Nilsson hits! - going.com
