Checkout the new trailer to Iron Man. For those of you that aren't comic book nerds, think of Iron Man as another normal rich guy like Bruce Wayne/Batman, except he's kinda an arrogant asshole and has way more fun:
Still not 100% about this movie, but this trailer's definitely the best one so far and got me pretty pumped up. Hopefully Robert Downey Jr can deliver a Christian Bale worthy performance a la Batman Begins. If not, at least we'll be the coolest kids on the New York subway and rock these crazy New Era Iron Man caps:

Stussy x Eric Elms Tee-shirt
Really dug this shirt as soon as I saw it- reminded me of one of my favorite tees that says "NOW OR NEVER" in bold letters. The piece is a collaboration between Stussy and graphic artist Eric Elms. Elms' work has been featured by Supreme, Nike, Panasonic and more- what really stands out about all this though, is that he's only 25. I definitely recommend checking out the portfolio on his site.
Stussy has been really on-point with it's revival in the last couple years, and luckily it didn't go the Target route like Mossimo (though honestly I can't hate on good ol' Target! - ESPECIALLY when they're doing affordable collaborations with the likes of Converse).
Checkout this interview from Being Hunted Magazine for more in depth info on featured artist Eric Elms.

Super Hot Colorway - Nike Air Force Jordan XII LE
This is by far one of the coolest colorways i've seen in a while. Especially diggin' the translucent turquoise/aqua sole. This shoe is part of Nike's line of hybrid Jordans/Air Force 1s. Was never a fan of the original Jordan XIIs (and neither are the folks at Wikipedia, seeing how short the entry was), but the bastard child of it and the Air Force 1 is pretty rad. Also, really goes to show how much color can affect your perception of something.
Concepts in Cambridge, MA will be releasing these this weekend, 3/1.

Car vs Fighter Jet- (Bugatti Veyron vs. Eurofighter Typhoon)
This needs to get categorized under sheer insanity and excess... The good British chaps over at Top Gear, realized there was no other car that could go up against the $1,000,000 plus Bugatti Veyron, so they decided to put it up against a fighter plane:
What ensues is total madness- in fact, it almost beats out the craziest car and driving related story I've heard in the last year. I won't reveal anything, but lets just say this thing was way too close for comfort:

"Outside/Inside" Art Show featuring Rene Gagnon's "Always in Season"
Rene Gagnon, is a graffiti artist turned fine artist who will be featured at the Carmichael Gallery’s OUTSIDE/INSIDE show opening with a reception this Saturday March 1st in West Hollywood. The amazing edgy piece featured here is called "Always in Season."
According to the personal statement and bios on his site, Gagnon has been on the street art scene for years, and his work and all the other artists on display should make the "OUTSIDE/INSIDE" show one not to be missed:

Barack Obama - "A Fair and Honest Appraisal" by Gill Bumby
Each week our mysterious featured writer, Gill Bumby, provides You, our fair reader, with a "Fair and Honest" appraisal of a public figure. This week we present...
Your teeth are exceptionally white and straight, which means that you probably have good oral hygiene habits and take great pride in brushing your teeth at least twice a day, flossing at least once a day, and using a fluoride mouthwash to get rid of any excess plaque, gingivitis, or tartar build up. I do think that your tie is a bit too tight, which unfortunately makes you look like a dork. You could probably stand to loosen that shit up a notch or two and give yourself some room to breathe. You might also want to consider gaining about 10 pounds of muscle. I mean, don’t get me wrong. You look like you’re in great shape and all. It would just be reassuring to know that you would be able to throw down and beat someone’s ass if a situation ever became totally ill. You know what I mean?"
Overall Rating….8.7

"You have a good, strong, angular jaw line that says to the American people, 'I am a man with strong moral convictions that is serious about instigating change and not allowing this great country to sink any further into the abysmal shit hole in which we are currently engulfed.'

Design WTF?! of the week - Prada Limited Edition Deluxe Atomizer
Don't worry Guys, I don't know what a "Deluxe Atomizer" is either, but I'm assuming it has something to do with that stuff that make the ladies smell good. What I do know is that Prada knows what it's doing, and this thing has some sick design elements going for it. Between the chrome accents, and the violet crocodile skin, I'd buy one.
According to the description on Sybarites where I first saw this:
"The perfume re-explores the spirit of amber in four characteristic ways, each based on one ancestral ingredient; sandalwood oil from India, patchouli leaves from Indonesia, labdanum resin from France and benzoin from Siam. Only one hundred will be made and will be available from certain Prada stores"
If you're still curious as to what the hell an atomizer is, checkout the always insightful Wikipedia
** UPDATE - You'd better have just gotten the advance on a record deal or something if you want to buy one of these for your significant other... they're apparently $550 at Neiman Marcus...

Oscar's Best Original Song Winners Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova from "Once"
Apparently 3 nominations out of 5 in the Oscar's Best Original song category only caused "Enchanted" to cannibalize its own votes. Instead, the much deserved "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova from the "Once" soundtrack took home the shiny little statue.
The stage and screen duo performed the song live at the awards, but the story that's really getting a lot of attention is that the show started playing the "get off of stage" music right as Hansard finished his quick speech and Irglova was trying to start hers. Luckily, the producers of the show and host Jon Stewart must have seen the err in their ways and let Marketa come back on stage for a few inspiring words to indie musicians everywhere.

Oscar-goers to party to Hot Tunes- DJ Jason Bentley to spin at Govenor's Ball
Attendees of this weekend's Academy Awards show have more to look forward to than Daniel Day Lewis' acceptance speech- KCRW's DJ Jason Bentley will be spinning at the Oscars' official Governor's ball after-party! Bentley is well known for his prime-time nightly show on KCRW, but he also happens to be tied into Hollywood as a top music supervisor. Had fun rocking out to soundtracks such as those of "The Matrix" films?... You can thank Mr. Bentley.
Party-goers can expect to hear several scores and songs from several Oscar-nominated films mixed into his set on the night of. Don't fret if you're not one of the lucky few to attend- Bentley's full set will be available on KCRW's site on Monday morning.

Fair & Honest Appraisals by Gill Bumby
Gill Bumby, a strange and wise fellow whom the FoundTrack recently befriended has been selling “fair and honest appraisals” of strangers’ appearances since 2006. Rocking an identity protecting mask, he sets up his typewriter at various street locations, events, and parties and proceeds to evaluate you with pure honesty. That said, his writings are never harsh nor are they intended to be- for the most part they turn out to be funny and almost psychic. For more info, checkout this feature on him from Time Out Magazine.
Starting next Wednesday, Gill will be contributing a weekly "Fair and Honest Appraisal" feature on this here blog. The subject could range from a politician, to a celebrity, to whatever the hell he feels like appraising that week.
Mr. Bumby was nice enough to fly out to LA from his home in NY and appraise the lovely party-goers at our recent FoundTrack February Fiesta. Here are a few festive examples:
